He very nearly does faceplant into his room, and it's only a well-timed, miraculously reasonably-coordinated hand that shoots out to grasp the doorframe that saves him. He stays there for a minute, torn between alarm that he managed to catch himself and indignant disbelief that some anonymous green chick nearly sent him sprawling into his own room.
"Little warning next time, maybe," he says, but he's talking without putting any thought to the words in a rapid, mildly feverish tumble. "I mean, I've seen - kind of a lot. You'd be surprised. Actually - " He looks at her again. She's really, really very distinctly green, no mistaking it. " - you know what? You probably wouldn't. I'm just saying - never actually met anyone green before. Which is kinda saying something. Well, no, not really. Or - maybe. Yes, actually. You're green." He repeats it like an exasperated revelation, shrugging helplessly.
