"It's the reality we're trapped in. What I know is that people have been brought here from different times and different worlds. Some of the worlds are similar but they differ in their histories. As far as any of us can tell, there's no rhyme or reason to the type of people that are brought in and the type that are whisked away." He looked as sincere as he possibly could talking about this.
