"Oh, you never forget the past," he agreed with a nod of his head. "But in order to improve the future, looking at your mistakes and building on them is necessary. Sometimes all it takes is knowing the other side of any story to know the answer to questions you never knew to ask," he said, which was all very deep and philosophical.
