Harry certainly helps with the not being run into - he would really rather
not be stopped while he's looking like this, and when he sees the young man
not paying much attention to his descent of the stairs, he gets clear of
him on the other side of the staircase.
But then he's called upon, and courtesy dictates he not simply ignore the
man. He turns.
"...I think so, yes. I hardly look it, I know, but..."
He's projecting the image of someone so buttoned-up it's a wonder he can
breathe. Someone who's not alright but can't articulate it.
