Yes, it's a bit dodgy an answer. It's true, he doesn't have the same accent anyone he met in Maine, but the fact was the Enchanted Forest was a terrible hodgepodge of accents, to Hook it's not that odd that he doesn't sound the same as everyone else in Maine.
