[ derek gives allison a head start to scott's room, not following her. he has nothing better to do than return to his room and pull it apart. complete strangers are trying to break the glass windows and find ways out. derek knows deep down there isn't. not yet. perhaps, the real reason he retreats upstairs is to be there for scott if he needs him, if he's needed. he waits enough time, though, for allison to be let into scott's room so she's not in the hallway when he is. so, she must be inside.
